Freshwater Ecology Day at Fort Whyte

On September 29, 2016, CanWIN was pleased to participate in Fort Whyte’s first ever Freshwater Ecology Day! We hosted a water monitoring station to help students understand how scientists can collect and process samples for water quality, and what to do with the data! (hint hint, store it  here!) 68 students and ten teachers from nine schools across Manitoba came out to view all six stations – hosted by River Watch, the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD), IISD_Experimental Lakes Area, Fort Whyte Alive, the University of Manitoba and the East Lake Conservation District.  Click to read the article.
